MAMA 2011 Singapore Pre-Event: Kim Hyun Joong

Kim Hyun Joong who is now a solo artist came as the 8th artist introduced during the Morning Meeting,  Pre-Event Press Conference on 29 November 2011 for for the Mnet Asian Music Awards 2011 held in Singapore.

The solo artist, dubbed as ‘The White Prince’, is nominated for four different categories during the voting process, and in the final counting he is nominated for  Best Male Solo Artist and Best Dance Performance for ‘Breakdown’.

Being thankful to be invited and being nominated for many different categories, he was asked whether he was confident to win both nominations. ”I think that the chances are low to win both nominations, however I would want to win at least one of them.”

He was mindful of his actions as well being a solo artist that “someday I will work hard to contribute better to the group in the near future”, for SS501.

For the fans who have been waiting for his solo tour concert, he had wanted it to kickstart it in April next year, but due to another acting project, he had postpone the tour plan until late 2012.

Lastly, his usual plain remark but is at a tone of hilarity shown when a German reporter asked him what he think of German girls as he has a lot of fans in Germany. “I think of beer and sausages the moment I think about the word Germany. I don’t have a clue how the women are like there because I have never have been there. I have an impression that they drink beer even during lunch,” he commented which caused an arousal of laughter.
